Meet Our Team

Mark Izzo

Making work great — that’s what Mark had in mind when he founded Converge HR Solutions in 2006. Prior to founding Converge HR Solutions, Mark was the Chief Administrative Officer for a large Philadelphia based non-profit organization. In this capacity, he was responsible for strategy and operations support of five subsidiary companies for this $250 million Foundation. When not changing the HR world, Mark is passionate about wine making, an avid reader and enjoys skiing and outdoor activities.

Jennifer Adams

It’s been a joy for Jennifer to have worked for Converge for 14 years. In that time, she’s worked with a variety of clients, ranging in size and industry. She came to Converge from the healthcare arena, where she worked as an HR Director for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in both the greater Philadelphia and Pittsburgh regions. She’s an experienced generalist who enjoys getting to know clients to help them procedurally align their culture and values. She also has a rich history of helping leaders forge healthy relationships with their staff. Through thoughtful listening, building relationships, and drawing on her years of experience, Jen supports her clients by implementing effective employee relations strategies, writing and implementing policy, and strategically aligning with organizations to ensure regulatory compliance while they retain top staff while building their business.

When not at work, Jen enjoys juggling the busy life of her three kids and hubby, while being a perpetual student of the practice of yoga. In her spare time, you’ll find Jen outside in any season, soaking up Mother Nature.

Anna Ehlenberger

Anna has over 10 years of industry experience in Human Resources; allowing her to understand businesses needs and how HR can make an impact. Anna’s deep understanding of all aspects of HR allows her to strategize with business owners to identify their HR needs. Anna graduated from LaSalle University with her M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management. In Anna’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two toddlers. She also enjoys swimming, skiing, golfing and traveling.

Kara Peiffer

Kara started her career in talent acquisition and has since expanded her expertise, particularly in the areas of employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. Kara obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in HR Management. She also holds a SHRM-CP certification. Kara enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, cooking new foods, and redecorating her home in her free time.

Dave Forbes

Dave has a deep recruiting background with both corporate and agency environments. He has hired positions from front-line workers to C-suite executives. Dave holds certificates in Certified PI Analysis, and DDI Behavioral-Based Interviewing. He has managed as many as 70 open positions at once, and filling over 280 positions in a single year He graduated from the University of Rochester with Bachelor’s degrees in History and Russian. In his free time he enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking and amateur photography.

Erika Portolese

Erika graduated from the State University of New York at Albany, where she received a degree in both Marketing and Finance. She began her career in finance, and then moved into sales at a Fortune 500 company. It was there that she spent 8 years in progressively responsible positions from Territory Sales Manager, to Unit Manager, Operations Manager, and Recruiting Lead. She also spent time raising her family and getting involved in things like leading her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. While she enjoyed her time with her family, Erika is passionate about working in the business field. In her free time, Erika loves to cook, garden, and read.

Megan Sweetsir

Megan is an HR Associate at Converge HR Solutions. Before joining Converge, Megan worked with Federally Qualified Health Centers throughout the state of New Jersey, helping their HR Directors achieve their workforce goals and initiatives by assisting in writing comprehensive workforce plans, expanding their current workforces, and assessing their future workforce needs through strategic planning. Before that, Megan worked with the federal Ticket to Work Program. This program assisted individuals receiving SSI & SSDI to write individual work plans, address and overcome personal barriers, and secure employment. Through working with the beneficiaries, local employers, and the Social Security Administration, Megan assisted more than a hundred individuals with disabilities to gain full and part-time employment to become on the path to financial independence. She also provided training, coordinated career fairs, and worked with the Board of Social Services to coordinate and provide resources to those in acute situations. Megan has met with Members of Congress, Assemblymen and women, Senators, and other key community figures to address various community and individual needs for the clients and organizations she has served.

Megan also has prior experience working with member organizations and professional trade associations, nonprofit organizations, and traditionally disenfranchised individuals. She has a proven track record of acting with empathy and responsiveness, with an emphasis on building personal capacity.

Megan has an MPA and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Urban Studies, both from Rutgers University.

In Megan’s free time, she enjoys running full and half marathons, spending time with her nieces and nephew, family, and friends, and trying out local restaurants with her fiancé.

Melissa Corcoran

Melissa is responsible for all accounting functions at Converge HR Solutions. She has built the accounting infrastructure as well as oversee budget performance, monthly closes, and comparative financial analysis. She has been helping small businesses with their bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and creating and managing budgets for over 15 years. Melissa has experience within the Construction, Restaurant, Human Resources, Marketing and Non-profit fields. She enjoys working closely with management to ensure they have a strong financial system in place and help plan for the future. In her free time, Melissa loves to spend time with her husband and 2 kids, she enjoys baking and diving into a great book!

Lyssa Artman

Lyssa graduated from Temple University where she received her bachelor’s degree in human resource management. Prior to joining the Converge HR team, Lyssa worked as a recruiter and a salesperson. Outside of her professional life, Lyssa enjoys traveling, exercising, cooking, reading self-development books, and spending time with family and friends.

Marnice Banks

Marnice Banks is an HR Professional with over 6 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Marnice’s HR expertise includes employee relations, full-cycle recruitment, employee engagement, compensation, and total rewards. She enjoys building relationships with employees and being an advocate for the organization.

She obtained my Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management at Keller Graduate School of Management in December of 2022. She enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling, and Karaoke.
