Making work great — that’s what Mark had in mind when he founded Converge HR Solutions in 2006. With a vision of helping companies engage their employees; resulting in increased business performance and employee happiness, Converge HR Solutions was on its way.
Mark went to work on building the team and the culture necessary to carry out the vision. “Excellence, Integrity and Teamwork” the core values then, and now which guide the direction, decision-making, team collaboration and client interactions.
Prior to founding Converge HR Solutions, Mark was the Chief Administrative Officer for a large Philadelphia based non-profit organization. In this capacity, he was responsible for strategy and operations support of five subsidiary companies for this $250 million Foundation. He also served in the capacity of Chief HR Officer for 10 years before assuming the responsibilities of Chief Administrative Officer.
Mark received his undergraduate degree and his M.B.A. from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. He frequently presents at professional association meetings, conferences and institutions of higher learning. Mark is also an active member on the Governance Boards of several Philadelphia health care providers, a global eye care organization, and is a member of The Union League of Philadelphia and a Board Member of the Youth Work Foundation of the Union League.
When not changing the HR world, Mark is passionate about wine making, an avid reader and enjoys skiing and outdoor activities.
Jennifer brings over 15 years of Human Resources experience to Converge. She has extensive experience as an HR Director, Manager and Consultant for various organizations throughout the great Philadelphia and Pittsburgh regions.
In her various roles, Jennifer has been responsible for integrating and maintaining performance evaluation systems, initiating and handling employee recruitment, and guiding directors and staff on employee issues and concerns. Jennifer excels at employee relations and has succeeded in engaging both employees and management in order to forge relationships and bridge the gap between management and staff. Although Jennifer pays particular interest to policy and procedure, she really gets her giggles in helping a company strategically align their business objectives to their long term goals.
Jennifer is an active member of the National Society for Human Resource Management. When not at work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. In her spare time, Jennifer practices and teaches yoga and enjoys spending time outdoors.
Anna has over 8 years of industry experience in Human Resources; allowing her to understand businesses needs and how HR can make an impact. Anna’s deep understanding of all aspects of HR service delivery have helped her transition from the consulting side of Converge to business development. Her ability to make connections, build relationships, and provide quality service has helped add value to our clients as well as Converge.
Anna graduated Magna Cum Laude from LaSalle University with her M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management and earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from West Chester University.
In Anna's free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She also enjoys swimming, skiing, traveling, and spending time at the Jersey shore where she is an avid boater and water skier.
Karen Felix brings expertise in a variety of areas including HR administration, change management, employee relations, leadership support, organization development, policy and process guidance, and team development. Some of the exciting projects she has developed and executed during her career include a benefits communication campaign, cross-functional organizational innovation team and strategy, fun team building activities, structured client strategic plan, an IT change management office, group mentoring program, and creative leadership change communications (eg., talk show with Marketing VP).
Karen lives in rural NJ with her husband and two children (ages 13 and 11). Her professional enjoyment comes from continuous learning and all things related to Organizational and People Development. She has spent the past 20 years in both the pharma and global food industry. Her personal enjoyment comes from Yoga and spending time outdoors hiking, biking, gardening, or chillaxing with her family or friends. Her personal maxim is: “Be somebody who makes everyone feel like a somebody.”
Jessica Marcial has over 17 years of varied HR experience with fortune 100 companies in the defense, pharmaceutical, oil and energy and civil engineering industries in the Philadelphia area. She holds a B.B.A in Human Resources Management from Temple University and an M.B.A. in Organizational Development from Drexel University.
Jessica has held various roles in Human Resources Management, Compensation Management and Administration and Talent Management and Employee Development. Her experience includes the creation of Performance and Talent Management training programs, as well as also having had extensive experience in change management, employee relations, workplace investigations, business coaching and mentoring and workforce strategy. Jessica enjoys roles where she can provide leadership and guidance on the people aspect of any business and coach and inspire business leaders to engage and motivate their employees in the work that they do.
Outside of HR, Jessica looks forward to spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys running, yoga and skiing. She looks forward to the summer when she gets to spend extra special time with family and friends at the Jersey shore.
Kara began her career in HR at honeygrow, recruiting interns and assisting the Director of Talent Management. She went on to work for F.A. Davis Company, where she focused on talent acquisition strategy and process, building recruiting and onboarding programs for the organization, as well as implementing a custom Applicant Tracking System. Kara also has experience developing job descriptions and creating handbook policies, as well as HRIS implementation and employee relations.
Kara obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Human Resource Management. She is also a member of SHRM and earned her SHRM-CP certification in 2017. Kara is most excited to partner with clients to maximize their ability to attract and retain top talent!
When she’s not working, Kara enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants with her husband, and exploring her hometown of Philadelphia.
